Snowdrop

Snowdrop

We had an extremely mild winter, with snowdrops, crocuses, and daffodils popping up a bit earlier than usual, followed by an extremely weird, cool spring. I snapped this all the way back on Feb. 4 this year.

Wikipedia:

Most species flower in winter, before the vernal equinox (20 or 21 March in the Northern Hemisphere), but some flower in early spring and late autumn.

I never realized (or even thought about it before), but this flower is native to Europe and the Middle East, not North America.

I also posted a version of this on Instagram.
