I attended the Black Lives Matter protest on June 6, 2020 and took a lot of photos.
People are fired up right now, but it was an extremely safe, positive atmosphere. Similar protests other supposedly left-leaning cities across the country are devolving into riots as police violently try to clear the streets. There wasn’t the slightest hint of violence or rioting here.
I’m convinced that if the police in those other cities would just let the people exercise their First Amendment rights, those protests would all be peaceful as this one.

This guy was selling these, though just about everything you could need was free. There were dozens of stations set up with free water, snacks, and first aid supplies.

There wasn’t just one location. There were several large crowds in a few of the usual spaces, including Freedom Plaza in front of the Wilson Building.
